Sean Lewis

Sean is confused and frightened by his sudden involvement in Gantz. He stays close to his fellow Americans, relying on familiar companions in a room where language and circumstances make communication difficult.

He does not display the enthusiasm for combat shown by experienced hunters. His priority is surviving the inexplicable situation rather than earning points or proving himself against the mission targets.

The limited time devoted to Sean leaves little individual characterization beyond his membership in the American group.

Sean has no established supernatural powers or specialized combat training.

Gantz gives him access to the same equipment available to other Tokyo participants, but he does not become proficient enough to distinguish himself as a hunter. His unfamiliarity with both the weapons and the game's rules places him at a severe disadvantage.

He relies on more experienced participants when the Dinosaur Aliens begin attacking the new recruits.

Sean appears among the large influx of new hunters preceding the Dinosaur Alien mission. He arrives alongside Bob Morris, Nathan Rich and Michael Combs.

The four Americans remain together through much of the mission while experienced fighters confront the dinosaurs. Their confusion provides another example of Gantz recruiting people with no preparation for the circumstances into which they are sent.

Sean survives the principal hunt but remains vulnerable after the mission. The returning participants are attacked by Vampires during the transfer process, extending the danger beyond the alien targets assigned by Gantz.

Bob Morris, Nathan Rich and Michael Combs are Sean's American companions. The four stay together after being drawn into the Tokyo Gantz team.

Kei Kurono, Daizaemon Kaze, Kenzo Sakata and Hiroto Sakurai are among the more capable hunters fighting through the same Dinosaur Alien mission.
