Ayako Mochizuki

Ayako is bright, affectionate, energetic, and confident in her physical abilities. She enjoys caring for Tokiyuki and can be so indulgent toward him that the official anime profile specifically notes a tendency to spoil her lord more than she should.

She idealizes powerful women who can stand beside and defend their masters. This makes strength part of her personal identity rather than merely a battlefield advantage. Ayako does not resent fighting for Tokiyuki; she actively wants to become someone capable of carrying responsibilities others would consider too heavy.

Her personality complements Kojirou's. Both enjoy martial competition, but Ayako is generally warmer and less confrontational in ordinary life. Their constant practice turns rivalry into unusually effective teamwork once battles become serious.
