Adelle Bascud

Adelle is stubborn, courageous, and protective of Biera. She attempts dangerous tasks despite her limited strength because she believes doing so may help the man who raised her.

Her aggressive introduction to the Straw Hats gradually gives way to trust after they treat her with considerably more kindness than Gasparde's crew.

Adelle has no supernatural abilities and is not an experienced fighter. She carries weapons and initially attempts to attack pirates for their bounties but quickly discovers that she is badly outmatched by the Straw Hats.

Her practical experience comes primarily from helping Biera in the Salamander's boiler room.

Adelle stows away aboard the Going Merry during the Dead End Race while attempting to fulfill a bargain that she believes will help Biera.

Her real identity is eventually revealed as Shuraiya Bascùd's younger sister, whom he believed had died when Gasparde destroyed their hometown years earlier. The siblings reunite after Gasparde's defeat.

Biera is Adelle's adoptive grandfather figure and the person who cared for her after she was separated from her family.
