Senku's plan to save Ruri hinges on winning the village's Grand Bout Tournament and becoming chief. As science steadily earns the villagers' trust, the Kingdom of Science gains new allies while facing increasingly determined opposition from powerful rivals within the village.
Senku prepares for the Grand Bout Tournament by applying scientific knowledge to compensate for his team's physical disadvantages. His inventions, including primitive glassmaking and other practical tools, steadily improve daily life and convince more villagers that science offers tangible benefits. While Magma remains the favorite to become chief, Senku's allies devise strategies to challenge his strength through ingenuity rather than brute force.
The tournament exposes the ambitions of several competitors while strengthening the bonds within the Kingdom of Science. As Senku moves closer to earning the authority needed to treat Ruri, the conflict between tradition and scientific progress becomes increasingly central to the village's future.
