The Kingdom of Science executes its long-prepared operation to capture Dr. Xeno, relying on coordinated planning rather than direct confrontation. Chrome's growing leadership and engineering ability allow Senku's plans to continue even while separated from much of the expedition. As both factions exchange prisoners and information, the conflict becomes increasingly psychological.
Stanley's relentless pursuit forces Senku's team to remain constantly mobile while continuing scientific development under pressure. By the volume's conclusion, the balance between the two scientific powers has shifted significantly, opening opportunities for negotiation as well as renewed conflict.
