Synopsis
Momo Ayase, a high-school student raised by a spirit medium, believes in ghosts but dismisses extraterrestrials. Her isolated classmate Ken Okarun Takakura accepts the existence of aliens but rejects the supernatural. After challenging one another to visit locations associated with their opposing beliefs, both discover that ghosts and aliens are real: Momo awakens psychokinetic abilities, while Okarun becomes afflicted by the curse of Turbo Granny.
The first season follows their efforts to control Okarun's curse and recover what Turbo Granny stole from him. Along the way, they confront the Acrobatic Silky and Serpo alien storylines, gain new allies, and investigate the haunted home of Momo's childhood friend Jin Jiji Enjoji. The adaptation is notable for combining romantic comedy, occult horror, science fiction, and highly stylized action within a single continuous coming-of-age story.
