Personality
Personality
Hana is affectionate and deeply attached to Tarou. Their relationship is openly romantic, with Hana responding warmly when Tarou goes to extraordinary lengths to reunite with her.
She is almost completely silent around everyone else. Whether this comes from shyness or from a supernatural limitation connecting her speech specifically to Tarou is not definitively explained.
Hana also displays resignation about having been discarded. She initially tells Tarou that he should return to school rather than remain with something destined for the trash.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Hana is a supernatural anatomical model capable of consciousness and communication despite being an artificial educational object.
Unlike Tarou, she cannot move independently because her body lacks functioning limbs and remains mounted on a base. This sharply limits her usefulness in physical situations.
Her most unusual value comes from her connection with Tarou. Their existence demonstrates that artificial school models can become animated through the urban legend associated with anatomical figures coming alive after dark.
The series does not establish combat techniques, enhanced strength, or offensive supernatural powers for Hana.
Story Role
Story Role
Hana is introduced indirectly when Tarou suddenly escapes Kami High and races through the city. Momo, Okarun, and Jiji pursue him because they initially assume his behavior may be connected to the strange events surrounding them.
They eventually discover that Tarou is not attacking anyone. He is attempting to reach a junkyard where Hana has been discarded.
Their reunion becomes relevant to Jiji's condition because observing the anatomical models provides Momo with insight into how abnormal bodies and possession can behave.
Afterward, Hana is moved to the Ayase residence rather than remaining discarded, becoming another unusual resident associated with the group.
Relationships
Relationships
Tarou is Hana's lover and the person to whom she displays the strongest emotional attachment. He abandons the safety of the school to reunite with her.
Momo Ayase helps bring Hana into the wider supernatural group after witnessing her reunion with Tarou.
Ken Takakura participates in following Tarou to the junkyard and learns the truth behind his nighttime escape.
Jin Enjouji becomes connected to Hana through the group's attempt to understand his supernatural condition.
