Synopsis
Assassination Classroom Second Season continues Class 3-E’s assignment to assassinate Koro-sensei, their superpowered teacher, before his promised destruction of Earth. Under the guidance of Tadaomi Karasuma and Irina Jelavic, the students refine their academic and assassination skills while confronting rival classes, professional killers, and the consequences of the discriminatory school system that placed them in Class 3-E.
As graduation approaches, Nagisa Shiota, Karma Akabane, and their classmates begin questioning both their mission and what they want from adulthood. The season completes the manga’s central storyline, explores Koro-sensei’s origins, and brings the students’ unusual school year to its conclusion without abandoning the series’ mixture of comedy, action, and educational drama.

- Lerche produced the 25-episode season with Seiji Kishi returning as director and Makoto Uezu overseeing the scripts.
- The season aired on Fuji TV from January 7 through June 30, 2016, and completed the manga’s primary storyline.
- Episode 15 was postponed for one week when Fuji TV replaced its scheduled April 14 broadcast with news coverage of the Kumamoto earthquakes.
- The first opening theme was “Question,” followed by “Bye Bye Yesterday,” both performed by the five-member character ensemble 3-E Utatan.
