Irina Jelavic

Irina is confident, theatrical and highly conscious of her appearance. Her professional work depends heavily on deception and seduction, and she initially approaches Class 3-E with the same tendency to manipulate people rather than build straightforward relationships with them.

Her arrogance is gradually tempered by her attachment to the class. Beneath her provocative professional persona, she becomes a committed teacher who can use her linguistic knowledge and espionage experience to give the students practical skills.

Her Food Wars crossover appearance uses the exaggerated seductive side of this established characterization rather than giving her an independent culinary personality.

Irina is an accomplished professional assassin whose principal strengths are infiltration, disguise, firearms, languages and seduction. She is multilingual and uses that knowledge in her work as Class 3-E's foreign-language instructor.

Unlike the chefs who make up the Food Wars cast, she has no established Shokugeki record or culinary specialty. Her inclusion in Food Wars material comes from a Weekly Shōnen Jump crossover rather than from participation in Tōtsuki's cooking world.

Irina does not participate in the main narrative of Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma. She appears through the manga's crossover material, in which characters from other Weekly Shōnen Jump properties are presented through Food Wars' visual and comedic conventions.

Her actual story belongs to Assassination Classroom, where she is introduced after being hired to assassinate Korosensei and infiltrates Class 3-E by posing as a teacher. After her initial assassination plan fails, she remains at the school and develops into a genuine instructor and ally of the class.

Treating her as an ordinary Tōtsuki supporting character would therefore be inaccurate; her Food Wars connection is specifically a guest crossover appearance.

Korosensei is Irina's original assassination target and later her colleague at Kunugigaoka's Class 3-E.

Tadaomi Karasuma works alongside Irina in Class 3-E and becomes one of the most important people in her personal life.

Sōma Yukihira belongs to the Food Wars side of the crossover material rather than Irina's native Assassination Classroom continuity.
