Vodka

Vodka behaves like a conventional gangster: intimidating, direct, and comfortable using threats or violence. He addresses Gin with considerable respect and generally accepts his decisions without argument.

Compared with Gin, however, Vodka is substantially easier to deceive. He can become impatient and tends to accept plausible circumstances at face value until Gin identifies something suspicious. This difference repeatedly demonstrates why Gin usually takes command when their operations encounter unexpected complications.

Vodka nevertheless remains a committed member of the Organization. His mistakes arise from insufficient caution rather than reluctance to commit crimes.

Vodka has experience with firearms, covert meetings, blackmail operations, surveillance, transportation, and the administrative side of the Black Organization's activities.

He frequently drives Gin and handles communications between Organization personnel. His role also includes arranging meetings and managing information connected to transactions, making him an important logistical operative even though Gin generally performs the more sophisticated counter-intelligence work.

Vodka's large build gives him an intimidating physical presence, but the series emphasizes his criminal experience rather than specialized martial-arts ability.

Vodka debuts with Gin at Tropical Land, where Shinichi Kudo notices the two men because of their suspicious appearance. Vodka subsequently conducts a blackmail transaction while Shinichi secretly watches.

Shinichi becomes so focused on Vodka's transaction that he fails to notice Gin approaching from behind. Gin incapacitates Shinichi and administers APTX 4869, while the two men leave believing their witness will die.

Vodka remains a recurring participant in Black Organization operations afterward. His partnership with Gin makes him present during numerous investigations involving suspected leaks, undercover agents, and attempts by Conan to gather information about the syndicate.

Gin is Vodka's regular partner and superior. Vodka consistently defers to Gin's judgment and commonly addresses him as "aniki."

Conan Edogawa repeatedly interferes with Vodka's activities without Vodka understanding the full significance of the child pursuing the Organization.

Vermouth, Chianti, and Korn are fellow Organization operatives with whom Vodka participates in larger missions.
