Tsuneki

Tsuneki receives limited individual characterization. His most clearly established personal connection is the friction he previously had with Nakanishi during junior high.

Like several of the older prefab players, his high-school baseball career is nearing its end when Kou joins the club, giving the first contest against Daimon's varsity particular importance for him.

Tsuneki plays center field, the central position in the outfield. His place in the prefab starting lineup establishes him as one of the experienced upperclassmen available to Maeno during the divided-club period.

No distinctive batting specialty or exceptional defensive technique is established for him.

Tsuneki belongs to Maeno's original prefab lineup during the first practice game against Shuugo Daimon's first-string team. The match gives the marginalized players an opportunity to challenge the assumption that Daimon's selected varsity is inherently superior.

Tsuneki retires from baseball after the first practice game. His departure, together with several other third-year players, forces Maeno to rebuild the prefab lineup before the rematch.
