Toshiya Odagiri

Toshiya is rebellious and lives in deliberate contrast to his father's strict, institutional world. His involvement in rock music and the strained relationship between father and son contribute to the suspicion surrounding him.

He is capable of questionable behavior but is not portrayed as sharing his father's dedication to law enforcement. The film uses the tension between them to complicate the investigation and challenge Odagiri's impartiality.

Toshiya is a professional rock musician and leads the band Guitar Wolf. His established skills center on music and live performance rather than investigation or combat.

He has no supernatural abilities or specialized police training.

Toshiya becomes relevant to the investigation because police surveillance during the earlier Jinno case places him among the people being watched. His connection to Tamotsu Jinno's death consequently attracts renewed attention when Narasawa and Shiba are murdered.

His father's position makes the situation particularly sensitive, since investigators must consider whether a senior police official could have reasons to suppress information.

Toshiya is ultimately not responsible for the murders of the police officers. The investigation instead exposes Kyosuke Kazato as Jinno's killer and the person attacking the officers who investigated that death.

Toshirou Odagiri is Toshiya's father. Their relationship is strained, and Toshirou Odagiri refuses to use his police authority to protect his son from legitimate investigation.

Tamotsu Jinno is connected to Toshiya through the earlier police investigation in which Toshiya became a person of interest.

Kyosuke Kazato is ultimately revealed as the person responsible for Jinno's murder and the subsequent attacks, clearing Toshiya of the central crimes.
