Tezuya Shiozaki

Shiozaki is withdrawn, frustrated, and burdened by circumstances that have narrowed his options. Baseball once provided a clear path forward, but the accidental manifestation of his ability destroys the ordinary athletic future he had expected.

His criminal behavior develops alongside pressure to support his younger siblings rather than from simple enjoyment of violence. That motivation does not excuse his actions, but it makes him markedly different from Choujin who hurt people solely for pleasure or power.

Shiozaki also retains the mentality of a pitcher. His ability depends heavily on throwing, accuracy, timing, and the physical skills he developed long before becoming a Choujin.

Shiozaki's Sinker activates through thrown objects. When one of his projectiles strikes something, the surrounding area sinks as though subjected to enormous downward force. A baseball therefore becomes a highly dangerous weapon in his hands.

His existing pitching ability makes the power especially effective. Before awakening, Shiozaki could throw a fastball around 155 km/h, giving him exceptional speed and accuracy even without supernatural enhancement.

When forced into Chaos, his ability expands dramatically. His throws can generate powerful gravitational distortions that bury or crush targets into the ground, while his Chaos state also provides defensive gravitational effects and greatly enhanced pitching force.

Shiozaki's story follows Tokio and Ely's introduction to Yamato Mori. Once a talented baseball player, he awakens as a Choujin when his ability manifests during a game, effectively ending the sporting career he had built his identity around.

He becomes involved in robberies as his family struggles financially. Tokio and Ely encounter him during their early attempts to apply their Choujin abilities outside controlled training.

The confrontation eventually drives Shiozaki into Chaos, turning an already dangerous throwing ability into an uncontrolled gravitational threat. Simon and Maiko intervene, and Maiko incapacitates him before the situation can escalate further.

Rather than remaining defined solely as a criminal opponent, Shiozaki later moves closer to the Yamato Mori community and appears alongside the young Choujin whose lives were changed by similarly disruptive awakenings.

Tokio Kurohara encounters Shiozaki during one of Tokio's earliest experiences dealing with another unstable Choujin. Their later association becomes considerably less antagonistic after Shiozaki's initial conflict is resolved.

Ely Otta confronts Shiozaki alongside Tokio and helps deal with the threat created by his Sinker ability.

Simon Kagomura participates in suppressing Shiozaki when his powers become too dangerous for the inexperienced Tokio and Ely to manage.

Maiko Momoma joins the intervention against Shiozaki. Her overwhelming physical strength allows her to stop his Chaos state.

Azuma Higashi attends the same school and later becomes part of the wider Yamato Mori circle to which Shiozaki is connected.
