Tetsuo Hara

Hara is aggressive, sadistic and comfortable with the extreme violence surrounding Gantz. Like his two companions, he treats killing aliens with enthusiasm rather than fear.

He is confident enough to attack dangerous enemies directly and shows little of the hesitation common among inexperienced hunters.

The manga gives him limited personal development outside his role within the Sadistic Trio.

Hara is an experienced Gantz fighter who can dispatch lesser aliens efficiently with the equipment provided by the sphere.

His familiarity with the suit and weapons allows him to participate confidently in the chaotic Osaka battle.

He is nevertheless not shown possessing the extraordinary equipment or multiple-clear record associated with the team's highest-level veterans.

Hara appears during the Osaka mission as one of the Sadistic Trio and fights through the numerous yōkai filling the city.

His group eventually encounters the Vampires and the samurai-like aliens, bringing together several factions whose abilities exceed those of ordinary mission targets.

Hara attempts to attack the female samurai from behind during the confrontation. The male samurai immediately counters the attack and decapitates him.

Sanpei Taira and Susumu Kimura are Hara's companions in the Sadistic Trio.

Hikawa and Chiaki are present when the Osaka hunters encounter the samurai yōkai.

The male and female Samurai Yōkai are Hara's enemies during the confrontation that ends his participation in the mission.
