Tequila

Tequila is intimidating, impatient and comfortable using the Black Organization's reputation to conduct clandestine business. His physical size and blunt manner make him stand out even before Conan realizes who he works for.

He treats his dealings as business rather than conversation, expecting the people working with the organization to provide what has been arranged. His earlier contact with programmer Suguru Itakura leaves Itakura deeply uncomfortable with him.

Tequila's Kansai dialect is distinctive enough for Conan to notice. His speech and enormous build later provide useful identifying details when Conan investigates the organization's earlier dealings.

Tequila's primary known role concerns external negotiations involving software and computer specialists. He acts as an intermediary between the Black Organization and people possessing technical information or programming skills that the organization wants.

His enormous physique makes him physically intimidating, although the series does not establish a particular martial art or exceptional combat technique for him.

He also conducts covert exchanges. At the Mantendo convention, his transaction relies on luggage tags and keys being exchanged so that he and his contact can retrieve one another's briefcases without openly handing them over.

Conan encounters Tequila at a Mantendo video-game convention after accidentally bumping into him. Initially he assumes the enormous man is connected to one of the attending companies, but Tequila's telephone conversation changes everything when Conan hears him refer to Gin and Vodka.

Tequila is there to conduct a transaction with Hideaki Nakajima, a Mantendo employee. Conan attempts to follow the exchange in the hope of finding a route back to the Black Organization.

Nakajima is selling Tequila a list containing information on leading computer programmers around the world. The exchange uses numbered luggage claims, allowing the two men to retrieve each other's briefcases.

Tequila is accidentally killed when he retrieves a briefcase containing a bomb planted by Hironobu Takeshita. Takeshita intended the bomb for Nakajima and had secretly manipulated the luggage-claim exchange, causing Tequila to take the explosive case into a restroom and open it.

Later investigation reveals that Tequila had previously approached Suguru Itakura about software the Black Organization wanted him to develop. His earlier negotiations therefore connect his brief appearance to the organization's unexplained interest in advanced computer programs.

Gin and Vodka are fellow Black Organization members known to Tequila. Hearing Tequila mention Gin and Vodka is what alerts Conan Edogawa to his affiliation.

Hideaki Nakajima is Tequila's contact at Mantendo. [Hideaki Nakajima agrees to sell the Black Organization information about prominent computer programmers in exchange for money.](#spoiler)

Conan Edogawa encounters Tequila by chance and recognizes his connection to the Black Organization after overhearing his conversation.
