Takuma Ino

Ino is friendly, sincere, energetic, and noticeably less cynical than many adult sorcerers. He does not pretend to be the smartest person in a room and readily relies on people whose judgment he trusts.

His admiration for Kento Nanami shapes both his professional ambitions and his moral reasoning. Ino wants Nanami's approval before advancing to Grade 1 and repeatedly uses the question "What would Nanami do?" as a guide when circumstances become uncertain.

Although comparatively relaxed outside combat, Ino takes sorcerer work seriously. He is willing to accept dangerous assignments and protect younger students even when facing opponents whose abilities have not been fully identified.

His desire to become Grade 1 is therefore not merely about status. He wants to reach the rank in a way that Nanami would consider legitimate.

Auspicious Beasts Summon allows Ino to act as a spiritual medium for four auspicious beasts when his face is concealed. Pulling the mask down is therefore directly connected to activating his technique.

Kaichi manifests as a horn-shaped projectile coated in cursed energy. Once launched, it can pursue its target rather than relying entirely on a straight trajectory.

Reiki surrounds Ino with liquid-like cursed energy that can reduce the force of incoming attacks and improve his mobility.

Kirin produces a stimulant-like effect that prevents Ino from feeling pain temporarily, allowing him to continue operating through injuries that would otherwise disrupt concentration.

Ryu is the technique's most powerful beast and the least frequently shown. Ino describes it as something that no opponent who has seen has survived, emphasizing its position as his final option.

Ino is also competent in hand-to-hand combat and cursed-energy reinforcement independent of the beasts. His Grade 2 classification reflects genuine professional experience rather than reliance on a single gimmick.

Ino first receives substantial focus during the Shibuya Incident, where he works alongside Yuuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro under Nanami's broader command.

When the group discovers a barrier maintained from the top of a building, Ino volunteers to confront the curse users protecting it while Yuuji and Megumi focus on dismantling the barrier conditions.

He initially handles the opponents effectively with Auspicious Beasts Summon, but the situation changes when Granny Ogami's séance produces a fighter with abilities far beyond what Ino expects.

Ogami's technique brings Touji Fushiguro's physical information into her grandson's body. Touji overwhelms Ino and beats him unconscious before leaving to seek stronger opponents.

Ino survives and later returns to active sorcerer work. He carries Nanami's blunt sword during the final campaign and reveals that Nanami's Ratio Technique has become engraved into the weapon itself, allowing Ino to contribute against Sukuna using his mentor's former tool.

Kento Nanami is Ino's mentor figure and the person whose judgment he respects most. Ino specifically wants Nanami to recommend him for promotion to Grade 1.

Yuuji Itadori works with Ino during the Shibuya operation and later fights beside him again.

Megumi Fushiguro joins Ino and Yuuji during the operation against Shibuya's barrier users.

Touji Fushiguro becomes the overwhelmingly powerful opponent who defeats Ino after being manifested through Ogami's séance technique.

Granny Ogami is the curse user whose séance dramatically changes Ino's Shibuya battle.

Satoru Gojou later consults Ino concerning information connected to Nanami and the preparations for the coming battle.
