Shishiwakamaru

Shishiwakamaru is vain, theatrical and highly conscious of his popularity. He deliberately maintains a handsome, composed image around his female admirers and wants his victories to enhance his reputation.

Once seriously engaged in battle, that polished demeanor gives way to cruelty and bloodlust. He enjoys frightening opponents and is willing to unleash attacks dangerous enough to threaten spectators as well as his intended target.

Later training under Genkai tempers some of this behavior. Shishiwakamaru remains proud and competitive but becomes a more disciplined fighter capable of cooperating with former enemies.

Shishiwakamaru is a skilled swordsman with considerable demon energy. His preferred humanoid body is actually a transformed state; his natural appearance is a small horned demon.

The Cape of No Return is a supernatural cloak capable of transporting anyone caught within it to another location. He uses it to remove Kazuma Kuwabara from their Dark Tournament match without having to defeat him conventionally.

His Banshee Shriek Sword is powered by the spirits of dead demons. Its techniques include attacks that release masses of spectral skulls and barriers composed of resentful spirits. The weapon's shriek can also threaten the souls of those unable to resist it.

After training with Genkai before the Demon World Tournament, Shishiwakamaru's demon energy rises dramatically into S-Class territory.

Shishiwakamaru enters the Dark Tournament as one of Team Uraotogi's strongest members. He first deals with Kuwabara through the Cape of No Return, teleporting him away from the arena.

His major fight is against the Masked Fighter, whose identity has by then been revealed as Genkai. Shishiwakamaru attacks her with his sword and summoned spirits, hoping that defeating a celebrated martial artist will increase his reputation.

Genkai defeats him using Spirit Reflection Blast, turning his own spiritual force against him. Much later, Kurama recruits Shishiwakamaru to train under Genkai before joining Yomi's forces. He subsequently leaves Yomi's army with the other former Dark Tournament fighters and enters the Demon World Tournament independently.

Genkai defeats Shishiwakamaru during the Dark Tournament. She later trains him, contributing to his enormous increase in demonic power.

Kazuma Kuwabara is matched against Shishiwakamaru, who removes him from the arena using the Cape of No Return.

Suzuki supplies Team Uraotogi with specialized supernatural equipment and later trains alongside Shishiwakamaru.

Kurama recruits Shishiwakamaru and several former tournament fighters as part of his plan to strengthen Yomi's forces.

Jin, Touya, Chu and Rinku become Shishiwakamaru's fellow trainees and eventual competitors in the Demon World Tournament.

Yusuke Urameshi eventually becomes an ally rather than an enemy when Shishiwakamaru joins the group of demons connected to his Demon World campaign.
