Shifu

Shifu is calm, observant and practical. Among Rohfa and Rikei, he is usually the person who keeps his composure and supplies a sensible explanation when their enthusiasm gets them into trouble.

He is nevertheless just as curious about Allen Walker's recovery as his friends. Shifu repeatedly finds reasons to observe Allen's training, framing their curiosity as legitimate scientific study.

He dislikes seeing Rohfa upset and is willing to intervene when Rikei makes her cry, showing that the friendship among the three apprentices extends beyond their work.

Shifu is a scientist rather than an Exorcist and has no Innocence. He possesses scientific knowledge taught through the Asian Branch's research program, particularly material related to Innocence.

His role is observational and analytical. During Allen's recovery, Shifu participates in discussions about why Allen cannot invoke his weapon and watches the training for evidence that might explain the problem.

Shifu appears with Rohfa and Rikei while Allen Walker is recovering at the Asian Branch. The three apprentice scientists become fascinated by his attempts to restore his damaged Innocence and repeatedly watch his training with Fou.

Shifu later remains at the Asian Branch as larger Black Order projects return to the facility. He is present during the period when the Third Exorcists and the history of the Second Exorcist experiments bring renewed attention to the branch.

Rohfa is Shifu's friend and fellow apprentice. He frequently helps her when she becomes flustered and dislikes seeing her cry.

Rikei is the third member of their apprentice group. Shifu often moderates Rikei's behavior and makes him apologize when he upsets Rohfa.

Allen Walker becomes the subject of intense interest for all three apprentices during his recovery. Shifu observes his training and contributes to discussions about his Innocence.

Fou trains Allen while Shifu and his friends repeatedly attempt to observe their sessions.
