Shibuki Shibushi

Shibushi has been fascinated by injuries since childhood. She enjoyed peeling scabs and deliberately hurting herself to create new ones, an obsession that developed alongside an increasingly distorted relationship with pain.

She is aggressive, provocative and comfortable with violence. Unlike Minuses whose negativity manifests as passivity or self-loathing, Shibushi readily takes direct action and enjoys confronting strong opponents.

Her friendship with Gagamaru Chougasaki dates back to childhood. Their relationship is unusual even by Class -13 standards, combining familiarity with Shibushi's pragmatic awareness that remaining near someone as difficult to injure as Gagamaru improves her own chances of survival.

Scar Dead allows Shibushi to reopen any wound a target has ever suffered, regardless of how completely it healed or how old the injury is. The ability applies not only to physical wounds but also to psychological and emotional trauma, allowing her to force previously overcome mental injuries back into the present.

Her fully powered Hatred Weapon Bazooka Dead extends Scar Dead's effects across a distance. It can even reopen the "wounds" of inanimate objects, treating damage sustained during construction or earlier deterioration as injuries and causing structures to collapse.

Shibushi is also physically strong and skilled with razor blades, commonly holding three between the fingers of one hand. Her raw power is enough to break Kumagawa's arm with little difficulty.

Shibushi is introduced as one of the first major Class -13 executives to become active at Hakoniwa. Together with Gagamaru, she intervenes during the confrontation involving Kuudou Hinokage, establishing how dangerous Kumagawa's newly assembled Minus faction can be.

Her Scar Dead becomes particularly dangerous against opponents with long histories of injury. Reopening psychological damage makes conventional durability insufficient protection against her.

During the conflict between Class -13 and Medaka's allies, Shibushi fights Youka Naze, whose control over her own body and wounds provides an unusual answer to Scar Dead. Shibushi later becomes part of the broader group of former opponents connected to Medaka.

Misogi Kumagawa is Shibushi's Student Council president and the leader around whom Class -13 organizes. Kumagawa considers Shibuki Shibushi a self-link and should not be linked here; Shibushi is one of the Class -13 members he regards as genuinely capable of winning.

Gagamaru Chougasaki has known Shibushi since they were children. Gagamaru Chougasaki's Encounter provides an extreme contrast to Scar Dead: while Shibushi restores old damage, Gagamaru redirects damage away from himself.

Youka Naze becomes one of Shibushi's principal opponents. Naze's ability to manipulate her physical condition lets her respond to wounds in ways that frustrate Scar Dead.
