Romin Kirishima

Romin is intelligent, athletic, independent, and initially somewhat guarded around Yuga's group. Unlike the others, she does not begin with a strong passion for Duel Monsters and is more comfortable with music.

She is competitive once something catches her interest. Rush Dueling gradually gives her a way to express herself outside RoaRomin, and she develops genuine pride in improving as a duelist.

Romin also has an unusually intense response to hunger. When deprived of food for too long, her demeanor changes dramatically and she becomes far more aggressive, a recurring problem for both opponents and friends.

Romin uses a Psychic deck whose monsters draw heavily on musical performance and stage imagery. Prima Guitarna the Shining Superstar is her signature monster and can increase the Attack of her entire field while weakening opposing monsters.

Her deck frequently uses Life Points as a resource, reflecting the risk-and-reward design of many Psychic monsters. As Romin gains experience, she becomes increasingly capable of using those costs without leaving herself unnecessarily vulnerable.

Outside dueling, Romin is an accomplished guitarist, athlete and high-performing student. Her musical ability earns her a place as the lead guitarist of RoaRomin.

Romin initially observes Yuga and his friends rather than sharing their enthusiasm for Rush Duels. Her association with RoaRomin and her cousin Roa Kirishima also gives her reasons for taking an interest in Yuga's new format.

She eventually begins Rush Dueling herself and becomes one of the four core members of Yuga's group. Her progress takes her from a reluctant beginner to a capable competitor with a distinct strategy.

Romin participates throughout the battles over the future of Rush Duels, frequently fighting alongside Yuga, Luke and Gakuto when Goha's actions threaten their freedom to duel.

Yuuga Oudou introduces Romin to the possibilities of Rush Dueling. Although she initially lacks his enthusiasm, Yuuga Oudou's invention gradually turns her into a committed duelist.

Roa Kirishima is Romin's cousin and the frontman of RoaRomin. Romin admires Roa Kirishima's musical ability but does not simply accept every decision he makes.

Tatsuhisa Kamijou and Gakuto Sougetsu become Romin's close friends through their shared adventures with Yuga.
