Risa Kageyama

Risa initially presents herself as gentle, attractive and interested in Yugi. The friendliness is calculated: she understands that gaining his trust gives her an opportunity to obtain the Violet Hecate card.

Like her sisters, Risa is obsessive about collecting the Hecate cards. Their desire to complete the set overrides ordinary considerations of fairness, leading them to manipulate Yugi and create a duel in which they expect to secure the card.

She remains confident while fighting alongside her sisters, relying on their coordinated strategy rather than approaching the confrontation as an individual duelist.

Risa and her sisters collectively use a Hecate Deck. Their strategy revolves around Red Hecate, Yellow Hecate and Violet Hecate, with the three cards providing the conditions needed to bring out Gorgon.

The sisters duel cooperatively, allowing them to combine their resources and maintain pressure on a single opponent. Their coordination places Yugi at a considerable disadvantage.

Risa has no confirmed supernatural abilities. The sisters are described and presented with a witch motif, but their demonstrated power in the story comes through games, deception and their Hecate cards.

Risa approaches Yugi because he possesses Violet Hecate, one of the three cards desired by the Kageyama sisters. She pretends to be romantically interested in him, causing considerable excitement and confusion among his friends.

The sisters eventually force Yugi into a Duel Monsters confrontation while he is separated from the Millennium Puzzle and therefore cannot rely on Dark Yugi.

Yugi is pushed close to defeat until Seto Kaiba unexpectedly intervenes. Kaiba takes over the duel and defeats the Kageyama sisters himself, insisting that he alone should be the one to defeat Yugi.

Yugi Mutou becomes Risa's target because he owns Violet Hecate. She pretends to be interested in Yugi Mutou so that she can get close enough to obtain the card.

Seto Kaiba interrupts the Kageyama sisters' duel with Yugi Mutou. Seto Kaiba takes over the match and defeats the sisters because he refuses to allow them to defeat his rival.

Katsuya Jonouchi, Anzu Mazaki, Hiroto Honda and Miho Nosaka are among Yugi Mutou's friends affected by Risa's sudden appearance and apparent interest in him.
