Rikidou Satou

Rikidou is friendly, dependable, and relatively understated. He rarely seeks attention and generally cooperates with classmates without creating conflict.

His strongest hobby is baking. He prepares cakes and other sweets for Class 1-A and is surprised by how enthusiastically his classmates respond, suggesting that he underestimates his own skill.

Rikidou's straightforward nature also carries into hero work. He is willing to put his strength toward clearing debris, restraining enemies, carrying injured people, and protecting teammates rather than pursuing elaborate individual strategies.

Sugar Rush increases Rikidou's physical strength after he consumes sugar. Ten grams provides a major strength boost for approximately three minutes, and additional sugar can extend the effect.

The enhancement lets him smash concrete and fight physically powerful opponents at close range.

The drawback is cognitive. Converting sugar into physical power progressively reduces Rikidou's mental sharpness and eventually leaves him sluggish and sleepy. Effective use therefore requires judging how much strength is necessary without compromising his ability to think.

Rikidou participates throughout Class 1-A's school training and is involved in the U.S.J. incident, final examinations, provisional licensing exam, Joint Training battle, and later conflicts.

His domestic role becomes more visible after the class moves into U.A.'s dormitories. His baking becomes a small but consistent part of the group's everyday life, with "Sugar Time" giving classmates a chance to relax between increasingly dangerous assignments.

During Joint Training, Rikidou joins Katsuki Bakugou, Kyouka Jirou, and Hanta Sero in a team whose success depends heavily on Bakugou's new willingness to protect teammates rather than operate alone.

He later joins the student force deployed against Gigantomachia during the Paranormal Liberation War.

Hanta Sero is a frequent teammate and friend. The two work together at the U.S.J., during rescue exercises, and in the Joint Training battle.

Kouji Kouda partners with Rikidou during the early Battle Trial exercise.

Momo Yaoyorozu contributes high-quality tea to the dormitory gatherings where Rikidou serves his desserts.

Katsuki Bakugou leads Rikidou's team during the Joint Training exercise and demonstrates a more cooperative combat style by actively protecting him and the others.

Kyouka Jirou fights beside Rikidou in the same Joint Training team.
