Hanta Sero

Sero is friendly, sociable, observant, and fond of joking with classmates. He often reacts to the more eccentric behavior around him with comparatively ordinary disbelief, effectively becoming one of Class 1-A's informal straight men.

He is competitive without being intensely prideful. Defeats embarrass him, but he generally recovers quickly and continues supporting his classmates.

When situations become dangerous, Sero's casual demeanor gives way to dependable heroism. He readily uses his Quirk to catch, restrain, or evacuate others rather than focusing solely on offensive victories.

Tape allows Sero to eject long strips of adhesive material from his elbows. He can attach the tape to surfaces, wrap opponents, retrieve objects, create traps, and suspend or move people.

He frequently uses the tape like grappling lines, swinging between structures and rapidly changing direction. This makes him particularly effective in urban environments.

Sero can also combine multiple strips into nets or large restraint patterns. Extended use can dry and irritate the skin around his elbows, limiting prolonged output.

His techniques include Barrage Tape Shot, in which he rapidly fires multiple strips to entangle targets, and Tape Shot Trident, which divides his attack across several directions.

Sero participates throughout Class 1-A's major school exercises, including the U.S.J. incident, Sports Festival, training camp, provisional licensing examination, and Joint Training.

At the Sports Festival, his attempt to immediately immobilize Todoroki results in one of the tournament's fastest defeats when Todoroki freezes nearly the entire arena. The crowd's sympathetic reaction becomes a recurring joke at Sero's expense.

His mobility makes him a frequent support partner in team exercises. He is particularly useful when classmates need rapid extraction or a means of crossing terrain their own Quirks cannot handle.

During the final conflict, Sero participates in the battlefield assigned to contain villains around Takoba National Stadium and later contributes to the wider effort against the remaining villain forces.

Denki Kaminari, Eijirou Kirishima, and Mina Ashido are among the classmates Sero regularly socializes with.

Shoto Todoroki defeats Sero decisively during the U.A. Sports Festival, producing one of Sero's most memorable early competitive moments.

Minoru Mineta frequently participates in the same casual class conversations as Sero.

Izuku Midoriya fights and trains alongside Sero throughout their time in Class 1-A.

Katsuki Bakugou is another regular classmate whom Sero is comfortable teasing despite Bakugou's volatile temperament.
