Ranze Nanahoshi

Ranze is energetic, devoted and highly expressive. She takes her Student Council responsibilities seriously and is extraordinarily loyal to Gakuto, initially helping him enforce school regulations surrounding Rush Dueling.

Her admiration for Gakuto frequently develops into elaborate romantic fantasies. Ranze can become so absorbed in these imagined scenarios that her brother has to bring her attention back to reality.

She is nevertheless competent and courageous when working on behalf of the council. Ranze willingly undertakes reconnaissance, disguises herself and confronts opponents when Gakuto or the Rush Duel Club needs information.

Ranze is trained in the support techniques associated with the Sogetsu Style and frequently works as a kuroko. This allows her to assist Gakuto during elaborate demonstrations and move around while keeping attention focused on him.

Her Rush Duel Deck uses EARTH Plant Flowerfang monsters. Flowerfang Kunoichi Etranzer is her principal ace, supported by cards including Flowerfang Warrior Rindo, Flowerfang Wolf Kurobana and Flowerfang Oni Yuri.

Ranze's strategy uses swarming and piercing damage. She can establish several monsters before creating an opening for a decisive offensive push, contrasting with Rinnosuke's more defensive use of the same Flowerfang theme.

Ranze appears from the beginning as one of Gakuto's two Student Council assistants. She helps enforce school regulations when Yuga introduces Rush Dueling but gradually becomes part of the same circle she initially monitors.

Her most prominent independent mission begins when she infiltrates Goha 6th Elementary to investigate the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club. The operation brings her into a Rush Duel against Galient and provides Yuga's group with information about the organization controlling the school.

Ranze later Duels her twin brother in a match that explores their shared Flowerfang strategies. She also temporarily leaves Gakuto's service after becoming frustrated with her position, only for her attachment to him and the Student Council to remain central to her decisions.

Gakuto Sogetsu is Ranze's Student Council president and the focus of her intense admiration. She faithfully supports Gakuto Sogetsu, although her feelings frequently lead her into exaggerated romantic fantasies.

Rinnosuke Nanahoshi is Ranze's younger twin brother and fellow Student Council secretary. The twins are extremely close despite occasionally clashing with one another.

Nanaho Nanahoshi is Ranze's cousin and a member of the extended Nanahoshi family.

Galient Tazaki becomes Ranze's opponent when she infiltrates Goha 6th Elementary to investigate the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club.

Yuga Ohdo initially represents the disruptive Rush Duel movement that the Student Council opposes, but Ranze eventually becomes one of Yuga Ohdo's recurring allies.
