Rinnosuke Nanahoshi

Rinnosuke is disciplined, dutiful and intensely loyal to Gakuto. He takes Student Council responsibilities seriously and initially views Yuga's influence as a distraction from the orderly conduct expected at Goha 7th Elementary.

His loyalty is not blind. As he becomes familiar with Rush Dueling, Rinnosuke recognizes why Gakuto enjoys the game and begins supporting the group's efforts rather than simply insisting on the old rules.

Rinnosuke is also extremely close to Ranze. The twins understand one another well enough to communicate with minimal explanation, although he sometimes has to intervene when his sister's romantic imagination runs out of control.

Rinnosuke is trained in the support duties associated with the Sogetsu Style and frequently dresses as a kuroko stagehand while assisting Gakuto. He is capable of carrying out elaborate preparations without drawing attention away from the person he supports.

His Rush Duel Deck uses EARTH Plant Flowerfang monsters. Flowerfang Warrior Rindo, Flowerfang Wolf Kurobana, Flowerfang Crest Stella and Flowerfang Shinobi Gatring form part of his lineup.

The Deck makes extensive use of Trap Cards such as Flowerfang Comeback and Flowerfang Snowstorm, allowing Rinnosuke to interfere with attacks and control the pace of battle. Its defensive style distinguishes his version of Flowerfang from Ranze's more aggressive configuration.

Rinnosuke appears from the beginning as one of Gakuto's two principal Student Council assistants. He initially supports the president's efforts to enforce school rules and discourage involvement with Yuga's newly created Rush Duels.

As Gakuto becomes increasingly interested in the game, Rinnosuke remains at his side. He eventually accepts Rush Dueling himself and helps the group during disputes over whether Yuga's invention should be allowed to continue.

His most prominent early Duel places him against Ranze in a sibling confrontation, with Lucidien "Luke" Kallister assisting. The match showcases the twins' different Flowerfang strategies and the unusually close relationship between them.

Rinnosuke later directly Duels Gakuto during the Goha Employee arc, forcing both characters to confront how their relationship has changed since the Student Council's first attempts to suppress Rush Dueling.

Ranze Nanahoshi is Rinnosuke's older twin sister and closest family relationship. The twins understand each other extremely well, although Rinnosuke sometimes tries to restrain Ranze Nanahoshi's tendency to become carried away by romantic fantasies.

Gakuto Sogetsu is Rinnosuke's Student Council president and the person he loyally supports as secretary. Rinnosuke initially encourages Gakuto Sogetsu to prioritize his duties over Rush Dueling but later embraces the game himself.

Yuga Ohdo initially represents the disruption Rinnosuke believes is pulling the Student Council president away from his responsibilities. His opinion softens as he comes to understand Yuga Ohdo and Rush Dueling.

Lucidien "Luke" Kallister assists Rinnosuke during his sibling Rush Duel against Ranze Nanahoshi.

Romin Kirishima receives Rinnosuke's help during her cooking efforts, and her friendly gratitude briefly leaves him flustered.

Nana Nanahoshi is Rinnosuke's cousin and another member of the extended Nanahoshi family.
