Poriyon is gentle, enthusiastic and deeply invested in craftsmanship. He appreciates delvers who care properly for their whistles and responds positively when an object possesses exceptional Value.

His language about his craft can be unusually sensual, but his attention remains focused on bringing out the inherent qualities of the material entrusted to him.

Poriyon is also willing to defend his community when Iruburu is threatened rather than remaining isolated within his workshop.

Poriyon is an exceptionally skilled jeweler. He can shape a Life-reverberating Stone into the completed form required for a functional White Whistle, a specialized craft that few beings are known to possess.

His Narehate body is integrated into his workshop through vessel-like connections. Although this normally prevents him from simply leaving, his elastic body can expand and extend far beyond its usual dimensions.

When Iruburu is attacked, Poriyon expands dramatically and participates directly in defending the village, demonstrating that his apparently stationary body can still act over a considerable area.

Majikaja leads Riko's group to Poriyon after Prushka's stone is taken for processing. Initially alarmed, the travelers discover that the jeweler is refining rather than harming it.

Poriyon completes the stone's transformation into Riko's White Whistle, allowing Prushka's Life-reverberating Stone to fulfill its proper function.

Poriyon subsequently joins the villagers fighting the invading Fuzosheppu and is overwhelmed during the battle.

Riko receives Poriyon's craftsmanship when he completes her White Whistle.

Prushka exists as the Life-reverberating Stone that Poriyon carefully shapes into its completed White Whistle form.

Majikaja explains Poriyon's work to Riko and brings the travelers to his workshop.
