Piccolo Daimaou

Piccolo Daimaou is cruel, authoritarian, and intensely contemptuous of ordinary life. He does not merely seek wealth or personal security; he wants society arranged around his unrestricted ability to terrorize it. After regaining his youth, he openly embraces criminality and disorder, even abolishing law enforcement and encouraging criminals to act freely.

He is also calculating. Piccolo understands the danger represented by martial artists and systematically sends his children to eliminate competitors from past Tenkaichi Budokai tournaments. His confidence increases dramatically after regaining his youth, but he is not above exploiting hostages or attacking vulnerable opponents when direct combat becomes inconvenient.

Piccolo Daimaou possesses enormous ki for his era, along with flight, telekinesis, energy projection, exceptional physical strength, and the Namekian ability to regenerate damaged portions of his body. His signature offensive techniques include Explosive Demon Wave and other large-scale blasts capable of devastating entire urban areas.

As a Dragon Clan Namekian separated from the being who became Kami, he also possesses the unusual ability to produce offspring by expelling eggs through his mouth. These children include Tambourine, Cymbal, Drum, and Piano, each created to serve his campaign. Official reference material identifies this egg-based creation of Demon Clan members as one of his defining abilities.

Centuries before Goku's era, Piccolo Daimaou terrorizes Earth until Mutaito uses the Mafūba to imprison him. Master Roshi and Master Shen, then Mutaito's students, survive to remember the threat he represented.

In the present, Pilaf releases Piccolo from confinement. Piccolo begins eliminating martial artists and gathering the Dragon Balls, eventually using Shenron to restore his youth. Immediately after receiving his wish, he kills Shenron to prevent anyone from using the Dragon Balls against him.

Goku eventually challenges the rejuvenated demon king. Goku kills Piccolo by driving through his body with a final attack, but before dying Piccolo produces one last egg containing his essence and memories. That offspring becomes Piccolo, ensuring that his conflict with Goku continues into the next generation.

Kami is Piccolo Daimaou's benevolent counterpart; the two were originally a single Namekian before the aspiring guardian expelled the evil within himself. Their lives remain fundamentally connected.

Tambourine, Cymbal, Drum, and Piano are Piccolo Daimaou's demonic offspring and servants. Goku becomes his greatest enemy after the deaths of several of Goku's friends and allies draw the young martial artist into the conflict.

Mutaito is responsible for Piccolo's original imprisonment, while Master Roshi later attempts to repeat his teacher's sealing technique. Pilaf, Shu, and Mai release Piccolo in the belief that they can benefit from an alliance with him. Piccolo is the offspring Piccolo Daimaou creates to carry on his will.
