Patros

Patros is ambitious, proud and openly contemptuous of Shinigami authority. He sees his Hollow identity as incompatible with serving Aizen and believes strength entitles him to rule.

He is also callous toward his own followers. Once Menis and Aldegor fall, Patros dismisses them as weak rather than mourning them, exposing the rebellion as a vehicle for his personal ambition.

While sealed, Gerifalte fires energy by means of rapid sword draws. Patros can increase the output through multiple levels, but the technique requires him to return the blade to its sheath between attacks.

Its released form converts his arms into firing mechanisms that produce concentrated yellow blasts and broad waves of energy. His strongest discharge is commonly identified as Burst, but the need to close the mechanisms before firing creates an exploitable interval.

Patros leads Menis and Aldegor in an apparent ambush of Ulquiorra and theft of the Hōgyoku. After reaching the Human World, he attacks the Urahara Shop and fights Renji Abarai.

Aizen anticipated the rebellion: Kyōka Suigetsu supplied the false victory, and the stolen Hōgyoku is a breakable imitation. Ririn identifies Gerifalte’s recharge weakness, Kurōdo prevents Patros from closing his weapon, Noba blocks his fire and Renji kills him with Bankai.

Menis and Aldegor are Patros’s followers, though he ultimately treats them as expendable. Sōsuke Aizen is the ruler he hopes to overthrow, while Ulquiorra Cifer is the apparent target of the rebels’ opening ambush.

Renji Abarai defeats Patros with assistance from Ririn, Kurōdo and Noba.
