Nick

Nick shares Jabberwock's extreme confidence in its superiority. He participates in the team's dismissive treatment of Japanese basketball and enters its matches expecting Jabberwock's individual talent to overwhelm its opponents.

He is less volatile than Silver and receives considerably less individual characterization than Nash. The story does not establish a detailed background, family history or set of personal motivations for him, and those gaps should not be filled through inference.

On court, Nick plays with the freedom expected of a high-level streetball player. He is comfortable attempting difficult actions against opponents who would dominate ordinary high-school competition.

Nick is an accomplished perimeter player with strong shooting and ball-handling fundamentals. Like Jabberwock's other supporting starters, his skill level is high enough to compete against the Generation of Miracles rather than functioning merely as support for Nash and Silver.

He can score from the perimeter and participate in Jabberwock's rapid passing sequences. His streetball background also makes his movements less conventional than those of players developed entirely within organized Japanese school basketball.

Nick has no named supernatural ability established at the level of Nash's Belial Eye or Silver's extraordinary physique. His importance lies instead in ensuring that opponents cannot concentrate every defensive resource on Jabberwock's two stars.

Nick first appears with Jabberwock when the American team comes to Japan to face Team Strky. He participates in the exhibition that establishes Jabberwock's overwhelming superiority over the initial Japanese lineup.

He subsequently starts against Vorpal Swords, forcing the assembled Generation of Miracles to account for capable scoring from every position. Although Nash and Silver dominate the narrative focus, Nick remains an offensive threat throughout the game.

Vorpal Swords eventually overturns Jabberwock's advantage and wins by one point, ending the visiting team's unbeaten display in Japan.

Nash Gold Jr. is Nick's captain and primary playmaker, creating opportunities for the rest of Jabberwock through his exceptional passing.

Jason Silver is Jabberwock's physically dominant center and one of the two teammates around whom much of the team's offense is structured.

Allen and Zack are Nick's fellow Jabberwock starters.

Shintarou Midorima, Daiki Aomine, Ryouta Kise, Atsushi Murasakibara, Seijuurou Akashi, Taiga Kagami and Tetsuya Kuroko make up the Japanese opposition assembled to challenge Jabberwock.
