Nasu-san

Nasu-san is normally dependable enough to handle reception at the Gachi family's animal hospital. Her work allows Ruko to concentrate on treating animals while Gachi and the younger children go about their daily lives.

Her best-known appearance occurs while she is malfunctioning, so the exaggerated behavior shown during that incident should not be treated as her ordinary personality.

Nasu-san is an OrderMaid and is therefore designed to perform work autonomously for the household she serves. Her established duties include managing the reception desk at the Gachi family's veterinary clinic.

Unlike Roboco, Nasu-san is not primarily portrayed as a combat machine. Her function is domestic and occupational, closer to the practical service expected from conventional OrderMaids.

Her malfunction demonstrates that her behavior can be affected by changes to her settings, temporarily leaving her unable to perform the reception work the family normally relies upon her to handle.

Nasu-san appears in the story centered on Gachi's home life. Gachi has plans to go to the movies with Bondo and the others, but Nasu-san is malfunctioning and cannot operate the animal hospital's reception desk.

Because Ruko needs to continue treating patients and Gachi refuses to dump the responsibility onto Ruri and the younger children, he stays behind and handles reception himself. His friends initially misunderstand his absence before learning what he has been doing.

The incident uses Nasu-san's malfunction as the catalyst for revealing Gachi's domestic responsibilities and his willingness to give up his own plans for his family.

Ruko Gachi employs Nasu-san at the Gachi family's animal hospital, where the OrderMaid handles reception while Ruko works as a veterinarian.
