Personality
Personality
Mohmoo behaves more like a frightened animal than a committed pirate. Food can lure him toward strangers, while a painful defeat quickly teaches him to avoid them. His obedience to the Arlong Pirates appears rooted in training and intimidation rather than ideological loyalty.
He displays recognizable caution and memory. When circumstances later bring him near the Straw Hats again, he identifies them and attempts to escape instead of repeating his earlier attack. This instinct for self-preservation frequently overwhelms commands from his handlers.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Mohmoo’s vast body gives him exceptional physical strength. He can tow ships across long distances, smash coastal structures, and create widespread destruction by moving through shallow water or across a battlefield.
As a marine creature, he is highly mobile at sea and useful for transporting pirate vessels. On land or in confined spaces, however, his size makes him easier for powerful opponents to redirect. He has no known supernatural abilities and relies on mass, momentum, and physical force.
Story Role
Story Role
The Arlong Pirates use Mohmoo to destroy Gosa Village as punishment for resistance. He later approaches the Baratie after smelling food but is defeated by Monkey D. Luffy and Sanji, who force him to help move their vessel toward Cocoyasi Village.
During the battle at Arlong Park, Hatchan summons Mohmoo against the Straw Hats. Mohmoo recognizes his previous attackers and tries to withdraw, but Arlong’s crew forces him onward. Luffy catches and spins him, using the sea cow’s enormous body to sweep away many of the lesser pirates before hurling him from the battlefield.
After the time skip, Mohmoo reappears towing the Caribou Pirates’ ship toward Fish-Man Island. Upon recognizing Luffy and his companions, he flees in terror and leaves the pursuing vessel trapped in a dangerous current.
Relationships
Relationships
Arlong employs Mohmoo as a weapon and transport animal, while Hatchan summons him during the defense of Arlong Park. Neither relationship gives Mohmoo meaningful independence.
Monkey D. Luffy and Sanji defeat Mohmoo near the Baratie and leave him fearful of the Straw Hats. Caribou and Coribou later use him to tow their ship, but Mohmoo abandons them as soon as he recognizes the crew they are pursuing.
