Makiko Maki

Makiko is a dependable member of UTS's veteran workforce. She is accustomed to the unconventional business operated by the Ohdo twins and does not abandon the organization when its work begins attracting aliens, Duelists and threats extending far beyond ordinary company assignments.

She is generally presented as part of the veteran UTS ensemble rather than receiving an extended personal storyline. Her characterization therefore comes primarily through her continued loyalty to the company and her willingness to assist its younger members.

Makiko has the practical experience expected of a longtime UTS employee and contributes to the company's day-to-day operations alongside its other veteran workers.

No dedicated Rush Duel Deck, signature monster or supernatural ability is established for Makiko. Unlike several younger members of UTS, she is primarily a supporting employee rather than a combatant or competitive Duelist.

Makiko is already working for UTS when Yudias Velgear arrives in Mutsuba Town. She appears among the company's veteran employees as the newly arrived Velgearian becomes involved with Yuhi, Yuamu and Rush Dueling.

She continues to appear as UTS becomes increasingly entangled in alien affairs. Her recurring presence, together with the other veteran employees, establishes the company as a functioning organization with a history predating Yudias's arrival.

Later developments connecting the era of GO RUSH!! to the future depicted in SEVENS give the deliberate resemblance between Makiko and Sushiko additional context, although the series does not make their precise familial relationship a central plot point.

Yuamu Ohdo is the president of UTS and Makiko's employer. Makiko remains part of the company's veteran workforce under her leadership.

Yuhi Ohdo works alongside Makiko as one of UTS's central younger members.

Yudias Velgear becomes Makiko's coworker after arriving in Mutsuba Town and joining UTS.

Galixon Tazaki, Gale Taira, Gurumi Purisaki, Dabingo Arisugawa, Manupilio Zomyoji, Mondai Omaeno and Torey Yagi are Makiko's fellow veteran UTS employees.

Sushiko Maki is a character from the later SEVENS era who closely resembles Makiko and shares her surname and Japanese voice actress.
