Madmole

Madmole is comparatively calm, courteous and practical. He frequently addresses people with respectful honorifics and lacks the constant bloodlust displayed by Kiria. His manners do not make him harmless; he remains committed to Diabolos and participates willingly in the guild's dragon hunts.

He is also tactically cautious. When facing opponents whose strength exceeds expectations, Madmole is willing to reassess rather than blindly continue attacking. That pragmatism makes him an effective complement to Kiria's impulsiveness and Skullion's commanding personality.

Madmole possesses Armor Dragon Slayer Magic, a Fifth Generation power acquired through consuming an Armor Dragon or a Dragon Slayer with equivalent properties. The magic dramatically increases his density, weight and defensive strength, allowing him to withstand both cutting and blunt-force attacks with minimal injury.

His signature offensive application is Armor Dragon's Steel-Fist Strike, which hardens his fist with Armor Dragon properties before delivering a powerful blow. He can also manifest armor-like material externally, including structures sturdy enough to create footing across water.

Madmole's durability is his defining combat trait. He can take direct sword strikes and withstand powerful Dragon Slayer flames, forcing opponents to use substantially greater force than they would against an ordinary mage.

Madmole enters the Water Dragon God conflict when he arrives to retrieve Kiria. He immediately demonstrates his defensive specialty by intercepting an attack from Erza Scarlet with his head and emerging unharmed.

Alongside Skullion, he participates in Diabolos's attempt to secure the Water Dragon God's power and later continues operating against Fairy Tail during the guilds' competing pursuits of the Dragon Gods. His battles frequently place him against physically powerful opponents such as Natsu Dragneel, where his armor forces even elite fighters to work to break through his defense.

Kiria is Madmole's teammate and one of the people he regularly protects. He is far calmer than she is and sometimes attempts to keep their mission focused when her desire to fight takes priority.

Skullion Raider leads Madmole's team. Madmole generally follows Skullion's decisions and works effectively with his ash-based abilities during retreats and coordinated attacks.

Natsu Dragneel becomes one of Madmole's notable opponents. Their encounters test Madmole's celebrated durability against the enormous destructive force of Fire Dragon Slayer Magic.

Erza Scarlet provides an early demonstration of Madmole's defensive ability when he blocks her sword attack without suffering the kind of injury such a strike would normally cause.

Mercphobia is one of the Dragon Gods Madmole's team pursues for Diabolos, though Madmole approaches the prospect of confronting him with considerably more caution than Kiria.
