Konomi Nijou

Konomi is lively, supportive and fond of teasing her companions. She particularly enjoys embarrassing Kururu about her feelings for Itsuki Minami, turning the otherwise serious tuner-rider relationship into a source of playful speculation.

Her cheerful demeanor has a sharper side. When someone disrupts the mood or irritates her, Konomi can react physically; Kazuma Mikura discovers this when she kicks him after he interrupts a discussion involving the women interested in Ikki.

Konomi also speaks openly about having grown up in poverty, saying that her home was once behind a supermarket. She later reveals that she has experience as a model.

Konomi is an A-T Link Tuner rather than a combat-focused Storm Rider. Like many members of Tool Toul To, she is unable to ride Air Trecks normally, but specializes in the precision mechanical work required to maintain them.

Her technical ability allows her to participate in Tool Toul To's collective use of the Pledge Regalia. Under the Pledge Queen, multiple tuners can synchronize their work and effectively share the precision necessary for exceptionally complicated repairs and construction.

Konomi participates alongside Kururu in applications of the Pledge Regalia during the later conflict, contributing her tuning ability to the collective technical operations that support the high-level riders.

Konomi appears after Tool Toul To becomes directly involved with Kogarasumaru and the importance of Link Tuners is established. She is one of the organization's recurring members around Kururu rather than a rider competing in Parts Wars.

Her presence helps show that Tool Toul To is an organization of specialists rather than simply Kururu's personal support network. High-level Regalia require coordinated construction and maintenance, and Konomi is one of the tuners who contributes to that infrastructure.

As Tool Toul To becomes increasingly involved in the struggle against Genesis, Konomi continues supporting its technical operations and participates in synchronized tuning through the Pledge Regalia.

Kururu Sumeragi is Konomi's fellow Tool Toul To tuner and Pledge Queen. Konomi supports her while frequently teasing her about her attachment to Ikki.

Itsuki Minami is one of the riders around whom Tool Toul To's later work becomes concentrated. Konomi also uses his relationships as material for teasing Kururu.

Kazuma Mikura earns Konomi's irritation when he disrupts a conversation about the competition surrounding Ikki.

Simca and Ringo Noyamano are drawn into the same playful discussion with Kururu Sumeragi over their respective places in Ikki's future.
