Kiyoshi Miyafuji

Miyafuji is skeptical, curious and unusually receptive to Gantz's technology. He questions Tokugawa's claims about the afterlife rather than accepting a supernatural explanation for the room.

Once the mission begins, his caution gives way to enthusiasm. He experiments with the suit and actively trains himself to use its enhanced capabilities.

His curiosity ultimately leads him to explore features that most first-time participants never discover.

Miyafuji wears the Gantz suit from the beginning, giving him enhanced strength, speed and durability.

During the Buddhist Temple mission, he learns how to activate the suit's concealment function, rendering himself invisible. This is an unusually advanced discovery for someone participating in his first hunt.

His later apparent abilities do not belong to Miyafuji himself: the Kannon alien absorbs his memories and speech after consuming him, allowing the creature to communicate using his identity.

Miyafuji enters with the large group preceding the Buddhist Temple mission and distinguishes himself by immediately using the suit.

He experiments with its capabilities during the battle and eventually disappears from the other participants after learning to conceal himself.

The final Kannon later reveals that it consumed Miyafuji and absorbed his memories. It uses his voice and identity while speaking with Katou, creating the temporary impression that Miyafuji somehow survived within the creature.

Musou Tokugawa offers a spiritual explanation for the Gantz room that Miyafuji openly doubts.

Masaru Katou encounters the Kannon after the creature has absorbed Miyafuji's memories and uses them to communicate with him.

Kei Kurono and Kei Kishimoto participate in the same Buddhist Temple mission as Miyafuji.
