Keith is serious, disciplined, loyal, and intensely protective of Mira. His responsibilities make him cautious about allowing outsiders to interfere in Vespanian affairs, particularly when the royal succession is unstable.

He can appear cold because he prioritizes the princess's security and political responsibilities over her desire for an ordinary life. His strictness, however, is rooted in loyalty rather than personal ambition.

Keith is pragmatic enough to cooperate with unusual allies when circumstances require it. He recognizes competence even when it comes from people he would not normally trust.

Keith is an experienced royal official with knowledge of security, diplomacy, crisis management, and the political affairs of Vespania.

He coordinates guards and manages the practical problems surrounding Mira's public appearances. His position also gives him access to confidential information concerning the royal family and Vespania's valuable natural resources.

Keith is not primarily portrayed as a frontline fighter; his effectiveness comes from organization, judgment, and loyalty to the crown.

Keith accompanies Mira during her visit to Japan and becomes responsible for managing the crisis when she disappears. Ran's remarkable resemblance to Mira creates an opportunity to protect the princess's public schedule while searching for her.

The investigation eventually returns to Vespania, where Conan becomes involved in uncovering the truth behind the royal family's recent tragedy.

Keith assists in exposing Duke Gerard's conspiracy and remains loyal to Mira as she accepts responsibility for the kingdom.

Keith returns in Lupin III vs. Detective Conan: The Movie. He hires Lupin to recover stolen Vespanian ore before its electromagnetic properties can be exploited for advanced stealth technology.

Mira Julietta Vespaland is the royal family member Keith is charged with protecting. He is strict with Mira Julietta Vespaland but remains deeply loyal to her.

Sakura Aludia Vespaland is Mira's mother and Vespania's queen, whom Keith serves as part of the royal household.
