Personality
Personality
Tetsuma is quiet, obedient and extraordinarily literal. He rarely questions instructions, even when circumstances make them unreasonable. A casual order to run can become hours or days of continuous running if nobody specifies when he should stop.
That trait makes him difficult to manage in ordinary life but almost ideal for Kid's passing system. Tetsuma does not improvise away from an assigned route, allowing his quarterback to know precisely where he will be.
He is not completely incapable of independent judgment. When a situation genuinely threatens his team, Tetsuma can act without waiting for an explicit command.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Tetsuma is an unusually powerful receiver, bench pressing 115 kg at 88 kg body weight. Instead of relying on elite sprint speed, he runs predetermined routes with extraordinary consistency and uses his strength to remain on course through contact.
His partnership with Kid turns that precision into a major offensive weapon. Kid can release a pass almost immediately because he trusts Tetsuma to arrive at the designated point without hesitation.
Tetsuma's route discipline makes ordinary attempts to disrupt his timing difficult. A defender often has to physically overpower him rather than trick him into abandoning his path.
Story Role
Story Role
Tetsuma forms the receiving half of Seibu's famous quick-strike passing combination. His consistency complements Kid's extraordinary release speed and helps establish the Wild Gunmen as one of Tokyo's most dangerous offensive teams.
His matches against Deimon place him opposite Monta, whose catching obsession differs sharply from Tetsuma's route-based reliability.
Tetsuma later helps train Yukimitsu before the Christmas Bowl, passing on the importance of precise route execution to a receiver whose value similarly depends on preparation rather than overwhelming natural athleticism.
Relationships
Relationships
Shien Mushanokoji is Tetsuma's childhood friend and quarterback. Shien Mushanokoji can throw before a route develops because he trusts Tetsuma to follow the assigned path exactly.
Tarou Raimon becomes one of Tetsuma's prominent receiving opponents and measures his own catching ability against Seibu's powerful receiver.
Manabu Yukimitsu later trains under Tetsuma, learning route-running principles from a player whose reliability is built on exact execution.
Billy Horide coaches Tetsuma, though vague instructions from Billy Horide can become dangerous when Tetsuma follows them far more literally than intended.
