Jin

Jin is cheerful, straightforward and intensely enthusiastic about fighting. He prefers battles in which both participants can enjoy testing their abilities and dislikes fighters who use cruelty or cheap tactics.

This attitude makes him unusually friendly toward opponents. He quickly recognizes that Yusuke shares his love of direct competition, and their tournament match develops mutual respect rather than personal hatred.

Jin is also independent-minded. He has little patience for the manipulative behavior surrounding the Dark Tournament and does not automatically share the attitudes of less honorable teammates.

Jin possesses aerokinesis, giving him extensive control over wind. His powers allow him to fly and maneuver freely through the air, making him exceptionally difficult to corner.

He can generate whirlwinds around his arms and fists, greatly increasing the destructive power of his punches. His Tornado Fist concentrates rotating wind around his arm before delivering a high-impact strike.

Jin can also manipulate air defensively and alter his movement abruptly during aerial combat.

After training under Genkai, Jin's demonic power increases enormously and reaches S-Class levels before the Demon World Tournament.

Jin enters the Dark Tournament as a member of Team Masho and eventually fights Yusuke. Their match becomes one of the tournament's most evenly spirited contests, with both fighters increasingly enjoying themselves.

Yusuke combines his Spirit Wave training with his own combat instincts to overcome Jin's aerial advantage. Although Jin is ultimately knocked from the arena, corrupt tournament officials manipulate the ruling against Yusuke.

Jin remains friendly toward Team Urameshi afterward rather than retaining resentment.

Kurama later recruits Jin, along with several other former Dark Tournament fighters, and sends him to train under Genkai. Jin joins Yomi's forces temporarily before choosing to enter Yusuke's Demon World Tournament as an independent competitor.

Yusuke Urameshi begins as Jin's Dark Tournament opponent but quickly becomes a respected friend and fellow fighter.

Touya is Jin's longtime teammate and one of his closest companions.

Risho is the formal leader of Team Masho despite Jin being among its strongest combatants.

Gama and Bakken are Jin's fellow Team Masho members, although Jin dislikes Bakken's behavior.

Kurama later recruits Jin to strengthen Yomi's military forces.

Genkai trains Jin and helps raise his power to S-Class.

Chu, Rinku, Suzuki and Shishiwakamaru train alongside Jin before competing in the Demon World Tournament.
