Buccha is generally easygoing away from competition, with food occupying much of his attention. His size and intimidating appearance make him seem threatening even when he has little interest in fighting. Once challenged, however, his demeanor can become dramatically more severe.

He places considerable importance on strength and leadership. Although initially an opponent of Ikki, Buccha is capable of acknowledging someone who defeats him and later expects that same person to behave like a proper leader. His loyalty therefore is not blind obedience. When he believes Kogarasumaru is being taken in the wrong direction, he is willing to challenge the decision rather than simply follow it.

He is also supportive of less confident teammates. When Kazu is entrusted with greater responsibility, Buccha encourages him rather than treating his insecurity as weakness, showing how thoroughly his priorities have shifted from dominating others to strengthening the team.

Buccha specializes in close-quarters power. His immense body gives him exceptional strength and makes him particularly effective when a Parts War demands direct physical confrontation. He rides the Rock Road, complementing his naturally heavy, forceful style.

His apparent obesity is deceptive. Much of Buccha's swollen appearance results from an unusual concentration of blood around his abdomen associated with his overeating rather than ordinary body fat. He can redistribute that blood into his muscles, temporarily transforming his physique into a leaner and more muscular form. The change greatly increases his combat performance and can visibly alter the proportions and reach of his limbs.

His durability is equally important to Kogarasumaru. Where riders such as Kazu rely on acceleration and Ikki on adaptability, Buccha can absorb punishment and contest space directly, functioning as the team's physical anchor.

Buccha enters the story as the leader of Yaooo!!, whose riders dominate Higashi Junior High at night. His confrontation with Itsuki Minami ends with Ikki defeating him in a Hurdles match, breaking Buccha's position as the school's dominant Storm Rider and ultimately bringing him into the group that becomes Kogarasumaru.

As a member of Kogarasumaru, he supplies the raw power that the original trio lacks. His presence also helps establish the team's growth from a group of inexperienced friends into a balanced competitive unit capable of taking on increasingly formidable Storm Rider teams.

Buccha later becomes one of the members who openly questions Ikki's judgment when Ikki considers aligning Kogarasumaru too closely with Genesis. Rather than permanently abandoning the team, he makes Ikki prove that his leadership still deserves Buccha's confidence.

Itsuki Minami begins as Buccha's rival and becomes his team leader after defeating him. Buccha respects Ikki's strength but also holds him accountable for decisions affecting Kogarasumaru.

Kazuma Mikura is a teammate whose quieter disposition contrasts with Buccha's physical presence. When Kazu is placed in command during Ikki's absence, Buccha supports the decision and encourages him to trust his own ability.

Onigiri is another Kogarasumaru teammate and one of the group's original members. Together with the rest of the team, the two provide complementary specialties rather than competing for the same role.

Agito Wanijima becomes another of Buccha's teammates and one of Kogarasumaru's strongest combat-oriented riders, giving the team a more technical offensive counterpart to Buccha's raw strength.
