Personality
Personality
Hitsugi is cynical, manipulative and deeply hostile toward humanity. Their worldview rests on the conviction that humans and Majiks cannot form genuine relationships because acquisition ultimately places Majiks under human control.
They prefer undermining trust as much as direct violence. This makes Mirsam, whose relationship with a human challenges Hitsugi's assumptions, a particularly important target.
Hitsugi is also patient enough to disguise themself and infiltrate hostile territory rather than relying exclusively on overwhelming force.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Hitsugi is scientifically classified as the Reverser Majik. Their acquisition trial requires the offering of ten thousand lives, with resurrected corpses forming part of the ordeal.
Their true body is enormous and combines features of several animals, including a horse-like body, powerful paws and a fish-like tail. The human waiter form is therefore a disguise rather than their natural appearance.
Hitsugi's powers revolve around reversal and the manipulation of death, allowing the Majik to produce an acquisition trial built around thousands of dead combatants. Their regenerative capabilities also allow them to return after catastrophic bodily destruction.
Story Role
Story Role
Hitsugi first infiltrates Mantinel while disguised as a waiter. Their objective is connected to the Prophecy Majik and the World-Hater's attempt to undermine the relationship between humans and Majiks.
The infiltration introduces the Seven Stars as more than distant followers of the World-Hater. They can enter human institutions, gather information and directly challenge the ideological foundations of witch society.
Hitsugi later confronts Desscaras during the Demonic Ocean conflict. Their trial forces her to fight ten thousand dead, including a resurrected figure from her own past, deliberately turning grief into part of the acquisition challenge.
Desscaras ultimately completes the trial and acquires Hitsugi, making a Majik committed to the destruction of human-Majik bonds the partner of one of humanity's strongest witches.
Relationships
Relationships
Han-Sekai no Mahou is Hitsugi's leader within the Seven Stars and the central figure behind their anti-human allegiance.
Mirsam is targeted by Hitsugi because her relationship with Jikishirone contradicts the belief that humans and Majiks cannot form authentic bonds.
Desscaras becomes Hitsugi's principal opponent during their acquisition trial. She ultimately defeats the trial and acquires Hitsugi.
Jikishirone is inseparable from Hitsugi's conflict with Mirsam because their shared existence provides direct evidence against Hitsugi's ideology.
Kizashi is a fellow member of the Seven Stars serving the World-Hater.
