Hikage

Hikage is cheerful, mischievous and surprisingly foul-mouthed for her age. Much of her manner has been picked up from Benimaru Shinmon, although Benimaru objects to the suggestion that he is responsible for everything the twins say.

She enjoys fighting when she believes the target deserves it and approaches dangerous situations with the confidence typical of Asakusa's residents. At the same time, she remains unmistakably childlike. Sweets are an especially powerful incentive for her, and she can become preoccupied with games even when the adults around her are dealing with serious matters.

Hikage is extremely close to Hinata. The sisters understand one another well enough that abnormal behavior immediately raises suspicion, and Hikage dislikes keeping secrets from her twin.

Hikage is a Third Generation pyrokinetic with the same Ignition Ability as Hinata. She can envelop almost her entire body in flames, leaving mainly her lower legs and feet visible. The resulting fiery form resembles a kitsune, complete with pointed ears and facial markings.

The transformation increases her combat effectiveness considerably. Despite her small size, Hikage can overwhelm adult opponents while using it, particularly when fighting together with her sister.

Hikage and Hinata fight exceptionally well as a pair. Their similar abilities, speed and familiarity with one another make their movements difficult to handle simultaneously. Their combined pressure later helps force Tamaki Kotatsu to improve her control over Nekomata.

Hikage appears in Asakusa as one of the children attached to Company 7 and is introduced alongside Hinata when Company 8 visits the district. She participates in the everyday life of the station, playing games, eating sweets and interacting freely with Benimaru and Konro Sagamiya.

During the White-Clad operation in Asakusa, an impostor assumes Hikage's appearance to create confusion. The deception is exposed when Arthur Boyle recognizes that something is wrong, prompting Company 8 and Company 7 to search for the real Hikage.

Hikage proves less helpless than expected. She had bargained with her would-be captors for sweets and eventually joins Hinata in attacking the men responsible. Later appearances continue to use the twins as both members of Company 7's extended family and capable young pyrokinetics.

Hinata is Hikage's younger twin sister and constant companion. The girls play, fight and use their Ignition Abilities together, and their closeness makes separating or impersonating one of them difficult.

Benimaru Shinmon acts as the twins' captain and guardian figure. Hikage imitates aspects of his speech and temperament, while Benimaru takes care of the girls in everyday matters, including doing their hair.

Konro Sagamiya is another trusted adult in Hikage's life and helps look after the twins around Company 7.

Shinra Kusakabe becomes one of Hikage and Hinata's playmates when Company 8 visits Asakusa.

Tamaki Kotatsu later trains against Hikage and Hinata, whose similar flame transformations provide a useful challenge for Tamaki's own feline Nekomata ability.
