Faerie

Faerie is usually calm, polite and eerily certain of the Evangelist's victory. His confidence comes from years of preparation and from his belief that the Cataclysm represents an inevitable end rather than a battle whose outcome remains uncertain.

He is also manipulative. Faerie understands that humanity's collective perception affects Adolla and therefore treats hope and despair as strategic resources rather than merely emotions.

His composure is less absolute than it appears. When events genuinely threaten his expectations, his confidence can collapse into anger and childish frustration. He also carries resentment over not being selected as Shō Kusakabe's guardian, a role assigned instead to Arrow.

Faerie is a Third Generation pyrokinetic whose Adolla Burst gives him an extraordinary form of gravitational manipulation. By applying heat to atoms and altering their mass, he can change the gravitational forces acting on himself, other people and surrounding objects.

This allows him to levitate and manipulate targets without conventional physical contact. His ability also makes direct attacks difficult because he can interfere with the forces controlling an attacker's trajectory.

As Adolla approaches Earth and pyrokinetic abilities intensify, Faerie's power reaches an astronomical scale. He becomes capable of altering the Moon's movement and drawing it toward Earth.

His manipulation of mass can also distort space-time. This gives him a means of operating against Shō's Severed Universe, which would normally leave an opponent effectively frozen in time.

Faerie belongs to a specialized White-Clad force connected directly to the completion of the Great Cataclysm. Unlike operatives tasked with finding Pillars or infiltrating institutions, his work concerns the final execution of the Evangelist's plan.

He appears around the emergence of the Stone Pillars and demonstrates that the White-Clad possess combatants whose abilities have become dramatically stronger as the boundary between Earth and Adolla weakens.

Faerie uses his enhanced gravity manipulation to pull the Moon toward Earth, turning an astronomical body into a weapon intended to reinforce humanity's despair. Shinra's intervention prevents the immediate collision.

He later confronts Shō and discovers that his gravitational manipulation can counter the temporal advantage of Severed Universe. After his plans begin failing, Faerie summons the other Cataclysm execution specialists for a final action intended to unleash extraordinarily powerful Doppelgängers from Adolla.

The Evangelist is the figure whose Cataclysm Faerie has devoted himself to completing.

Shō Kusakabe becomes a major opponent for Faerie. Faerie also resents Shō because he wanted the position of Third Pillar guardian for himself.

Arrow received the guardian role that Faerie desired, leaving him jealous of her position beside Shō Kusakabe.

Shinra Kusakabe threatens Faerie's strategy by becoming a source of hope during the Cataclysm. His ability to oppose events that Faerie considers inevitable increasingly destabilizes Faerie's confidence.

Dragon works within the forces assembled for the Cataclysm. Faerie acknowledges Dragon's immense strength while insisting that even he cannot escape the destruction intended for humanity.
