Ehoko Kamijou

Epoch is exceptionally shy, sheltered and frightened by unfamiliar social situations. She spends much of her introduction concealed inside a cardboard box and communicates without willingly showing herself to others.

Her timid behavior does not mean she lacks determination. Once Rush Dueling catches her interest, Epoch begins taking small but meaningful steps toward independence. Competition reveals a stubborn streak that is difficult to see when she is hiding.

As her confidence grows, Epoch becomes more expressive and increasingly willing to participate directly in the adventures around her. She retains her distinctive nervousness, but it no longer prevents her from forming friendships or challenging other duelists.

Epoch learns Rush Dueling under Yudias's instruction. Her Deck incorporates dice-based mechanics, giving her matches an element of chance that reflects the unpredictability of her developing confidence.

Dice Key Mace becomes one of her signature monsters. Her strategy uses dice results to produce different effects, requiring her to adapt to whatever result she receives rather than relying entirely on predetermined combinations.

Epoch's position as the fifth Kamijou Gear heir also connects her to a powerful industrial family. She has access to the resources and technology of the Kamijou estate even though her sheltered upbringing initially leaves her inexperienced with the outside world.

Epoch enters the story when Yudias delivers The☆Lugh to the Kamijou mansion. Her extreme shyness makes ordinary interaction difficult, leading Yudias to approach her gradually through Rush Dueling.

His lessons help Epoch begin leaving her box and interacting with people beyond the household. Rush Dueling consequently becomes part of her broader effort to overcome the isolation in which she has grown up.

Epoch eventually becomes a regular participant in the group's adventures, growing substantially more confident and taking part in conflicts that extend far beyond the Kamijou mansion.

Yudias Velgear becomes Epoch's Rush Duel teacher. His patient instruction gives her a structured way to interact with another person and helps her begin overcoming her extreme social anxiety.

The☆Lugh is brought to Epoch's home by Yudias Velgear, helping set the circumstances for their meeting.

Yuhi Ohdo and Yuamu Ohdo become part of Epoch's expanding circle as she becomes increasingly involved with the UTS group.

Haruka Kamijou is Epoch's descendant in the future era depicted in Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS.
