Personality
Personality
Ecclesia is compassionate, earnest, curious, and willing to act according to her conscience even when doing so conflicts with authority. Her first response to the wounded stranger in Dogmatika is concern for his safety rather than suspicion.
She is comparatively sheltered when her journey begins. Life within Dogmatika has shaped her understanding of the outside world, leaving her unfamiliar with many of the peoples and places she encounters beyond its borders.
Food becomes one of Ecclesia's recurring pleasures during her travels. Her appetite and enthusiasm for unfamiliar meals provide a more ordinary side to someone who begins her story carrying a prestigious religious title.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Ecclesia possesses a sacred stigmata on her forehead, identifying her as one of Dogmatika's exceptionally blessed individuals. The power associated with these marks allows Dogmatika's chosen warriors to perform supernatural feats.
Her card incarnations include Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous and later forms representing different stages of her journey. Her story is depicted across numerous cards belonging to interconnected archetypes rather than through a conventional Duel Monsters deck.
Ecclesia is capable of traveling through dangerous regions and surviving battles involving Dogmatika, the Tri-Brigade, the Springans and other powerful factions, although she is not primarily characterized as a frontline fighter comparable to Fleurdelis.
Story Role
Story Role
Ecclesia begins as one of Dogmatika's most prominent holy maidens. During a battle involving the Tri-Brigade, she encounters a wounded boy who has fallen into Dogmatika territory and intervenes to prevent him from being harmed.
Ecclesia is punished for protecting the stranger and subsequently exiled from Dogmatika. After awakening at a Tri-Brigade camp, she finds herself without a homeland and leaves alongside the amnesiac boy.
During their journey, Ecclesia gives the nameless boy the name Albaz. The two travel toward the Great Sand Sea to seek refuge with the Springans, beginning a journey through multiple nations and conflicts.
Ecclesia later discovers the corruption underlying Dogmatika and becomes caught in the larger struggle involving Despia, the Branded, the Swordsoul and the Bystials. Her bond with Albaz remains the central personal connection carrying her through these conflicts.
