Doll

Doll is stern and generally composed, answering Animus's orders without hesitation. Despite his serious demeanor, he is expressive in battle and frequently emphasizes his muscular physique with exaggerated poses.

His strongest personal attachment is to Françoise and Catelyn, the two dolls he uses as weapons. Doll refers to them as his daughters and becomes genuinely angry when Gray Fullbuster insults them. He is similarly distressed when Juvia Lockser's water soaks them, showing that he does not regard the pair as disposable equipment.

Doll uses Curse Magic to control Françoise and Catelyn. The two cursed dolls can fly independently and fire powerful streams or blasts of flame from their mouths, allowing Doll to pressure opponents from multiple directions simultaneously.

They can also engulf themselves in fire and charge targets at high speed, turning the dolls themselves into projectiles. Their flames are strong enough to counter conventional ice under favorable circumstances, although sufficiently powerful Devil Slayer ice presents a more difficult obstacle.

Doll himself possesses considerable physical strength and durability, but his combat style is primarily built around coordinating his two weapons and overwhelming opponents through their combined mobility and firepower.

Doll joins Swan and Gapri when Animus summons the Three Stars to recover Dragon Cry. Their surprise assault quickly overwhelms Team Natsu and allows Stella's forces to capture the Fairy Tail mages.

After the prisoners escape, Doll encounters Gray and Juvia. His dolls' fire initially creates problems for the pair, but Gray's Ice Devil Slayer Magic gives his ice enough resilience to resist their flames. Juvia later attacks Françoise and Catelyn with Wings of Love after imagining the dolls as girls pursuing Gray, soaking them and leaving Doll distraught. Gray follows with Ice Devil's Zeroth Long Sword and freezes Doll.

Swan and Gapri are Doll's partners in the Three Stars. Together they constitute the elite unit deployed by Animus when ordinary Stella soldiers are insufficient.

Animus is Doll's king and commander. Doll responds immediately when ordered to help recover Dragon Cry and shares the Three Stars' responsibility for protecting Sonya.

Sonya is specifically protected by Doll and his teammates because of her importance to Animus.

Gray Fullbuster becomes Doll's principal male opponent and irritates him by insulting his beloved dolls. Their battle develops into a contest between Doll's fire-producing weapons and Gray's Ice Devil Slayer Magic.

Juvia Lockser joins Gray Fullbuster against Doll. Her water proves particularly troublesome for Françoise and Catelyn, and her jealousy-fueled intervention disables them long enough for Gray to finish the battle.
