Cristiano

Cristiano is friendly and approachable enough to quickly form a connection with Tokio, helped by the fact that the two are the same age. He becomes Tokio's first real friend in Iwato rather than merely another Keeper colleague.

His appetite is a recurring personal trait. Although Cristiano talks about wanting to lose weight, beginning a meal tends to lead to continued eating, particularly when hamburgers are available.

The humor surrounding his appetite contrasts with the dangerous environment in which Iwato Mori operates, giving Tokio moments of ordinary friendship during an otherwise demanding period.

As the Corpulent Choujin, Cristiano can manipulate or exploit his substantial body fat as armor. His blubber absorbs and blocks attacks that would injure a less protected fighter.

The ability makes his body particularly suited to defensive combat, allowing him to withstand impacts rather than relying entirely on evasion.

Cristiano also possesses Raise, the regenerative ability common to Choujin.

Cristiano belongs to Iwato Mori, the small Keeper organization Tokio joins while gaining field experience away from Yamato. He serves alongside Maureena under director Frogar Piokotam.

Tokio's friendship with Cristiano gives his time in Iwato a personal dimension. The people there become more than temporary colleagues as Tokio begins building a life independent of the friends and institutions he knew in Yamato.

Cristiano participates in Iwato Mori's campaign against Haken King and is killed during the conflict. The loss of Cristiano and other people Tokio befriended becomes part of the severe experience that shapes Tokio during his time away from home.

Tokio Kurohara becomes Cristiano's friend after arriving in Iwato. Cristiano is the first person of Tokio Kurohara's age to befriend him there.

Maureena is Cristiano's fellow Keeper within the small Iwato Mori organization.

Frogar Piokotam serves as Cristiano's director at Iwato Mori.

Haken King becomes the major threat confronting Cristiano's organization. Cristiano dies during Iwato Mori's struggle against Haken.
