Amon Hajiki

Hajiki is friendly, conversational and somewhat absent-minded. He participates readily in casual banter with other Company 2 members and lacks the intimidating manner one might expect from such an effective combat specialist.

His forgetfulness is one of his defining quirks. Despite possessing exceptionally useful abilities, he can neglect to employ them until circumstances remind him, an absurd weakness given how dangerous he becomes once fully focused.

In actual combat, however, Hajiki is composed and efficient. He can rapidly assess multiple threats and eliminate them with precision, making him a valuable platoon leader during operations where Company 2's soldiers are spread across a large area.

Hajiki's most distinctive trait is his heat-sensitive eyesight. He can perceive thermal signatures, allowing him to locate targets that ordinary vision might miss and maintain awareness of enemies across difficult battlefield conditions.

He combines this perception with exceptional marksmanship. During the Nether operation, he rapidly shoots vulnerable points on attacking Infernals, demonstrating the ability to engage multiple targets with remarkable speed and accuracy.

His abilities make him particularly well suited to ranged suppression. Rather than relying on overwhelming area attacks, Hajiki identifies targets and destroys them efficiently before they can reach his squad.

Hajiki serves under Captain Honda and participates in Company 2's activities before taking part in the major joint operation beneath Tokyo. His competence establishes him as one of the brigade's more capable platoon leaders.

During the Nether investigation, Company 2 divides into squads accompanied by members of Company 8. Hajiki's unit encounters the mass of Infernals and reanimated bodies unleashed by Ritsu.

His thermal vision and shooting ability prove extremely effective against the swarm, allowing him to eliminate threats that would overwhelm less specialized Fire Soldiers.

Orochi ambushes Hajiki while his attention is focused on the Infernal assault and kills him before a conventional duel can occur. His sudden death demonstrates how lethal the Knights of the Purple Smoke are even to Company 2's strongest officers.

After the final reconstruction of reality, Hajiki returns alongside other people lost during the conflict and encounters a restored Orochi, who unexpectedly expresses attraction toward him.

Gustav Honda is Hajiki's captain in Company 2. Hajiki and his fellow soldiers sometimes gossip about Honda, particularly the mystery surrounding their captain's bald head.

Orochi is the White-Clad combatant who confronts him during the Nether operation. She kills Hajiki with a surprise attack before he can properly engage her; after reality is reconstructed, the two meet again under dramatically different circumstances.

Takeru Noto serves in Company 2 alongside Hajiki and later fights Orochi during the same Nether operation.

Tamaki Kotatsu accompanies Company 2 personnel during the joint investigation and becomes one of Orochi's targets after Hajiki.
