Akako Koizumi

Akako is confident, theatrical, proud, and accustomed to receiving admiration. Her magical abilities reinforce her belief that she can manipulate the people around her, particularly men.

Kaito's resistance immediately challenges that confidence. What begins as anger and determination to control him gradually becomes genuine personal interest, though Akako continues expressing her feelings through rivalry, warnings, and supernatural intervention rather than straightforward affection.

Despite her vanity and occasionally dangerous methods, she is capable of concern for Kaito and repeatedly warns him when her divination predicts serious danger.

Akako is a genuine practitioner of red magic. Her abilities include spellcasting, divination, magical restraints, curses, illusions, and supernatural manipulation of other people.

She uses a crystal ball to observe distant events and predict danger. Her magical rituals can involve elaborate circles, candles, symbols, and supernatural entities.

Akako can also invoke Lucifer through her magic. Her powers distinguish her sharply from Kaito, whose apparently impossible feats are accomplished through conventional illusion, preparation, and sleight of hand.

Akako enters Kaito's life after discovering that one man remains unaffected by her supernatural allure. Her attempts to identify and control him bring her directly into conflict with Kaitou Kid.

Akako discovers that Kaito and Kaitou Kid are the same person, but she keeps his identity secret. Her hostility gradually softens as she develops genuine feelings for him and occasionally uses her magic to help or warn him.

Within Detective Conan-related material, Akako appears in the OVA crossover involving Conan, Kid, and the Yaiba cast, reflecting the shared crossover space between Gosho Aoyama's series.

Kaito Kuroba is Akako's classmate and the one boy she cannot easily control. Akako learns that Kaito is Kaitou Kid and develops romantic feelings for him while protecting his secret.
