Acidwire

As a human, Sora is loving and protective toward Orihime. He removes her from their abusive household and becomes her primary parental figure, though the siblings’ final living interaction ends in an argument.

As Acidwire, grief and resentment distort that love into possessiveness. He believes Orihime has replaced him with her friends, but her willingness to embrace him breaks through the Hollow’s anger and restores his reason.

Acidwire can fly despite his long serpentine body. His scaled tail is durable enough to strike and restrain opponents, with the tail-whip attack identified as Tail Shaker.

Vitriol Shot projects corrosive acid from his mouth. He also possesses the heightened strength, spiritual perception and appetite characteristic of Hollows.

After Sora dies in a traffic accident, Orihime Inoue continues praying for him. As her life expands to include friends, his lonely spirit interprets the changing prayers as abandonment and becomes Acidwire.

Acidwire attacks Orihime, Tatsuki and Ichigo, but Orihime recognizes her brother and embraces him. Regaining control, Sora deliberately uses Ichigo’s Zanpakutō to remove his mask and accept purification before he can harm her again.

Orihime Inoue is Sora’s younger sister, whom he raised and continued to love after death. His corrupted attachment to her drives Acidwire’s actions.

Ichigo Kurosaki battles Acidwire and provides the Zanpakutō through which Sora is purified. Tatsuki Arisawa is Orihime’s friend and one of Acidwire’s targets.
