Synopsis
Seirin High's newly formed basketball team recruits Tetsuya Kuroko, an unassuming passing specialist once known as the “Phantom Sixth Man” of Teiko Middle School's legendary Generation of Miracles. He forms an unlikely partnership with Taiga Kagami, a powerful newcomer recently returned from the United States who intends to surpass Kuroko's former teammates and become Japan's best player.
The season follows Seirin through practice matches, the Interhigh preliminaries, and encounters with teams led by Generation of Miracles members Ryota Kise, Shintaro Midorima, and Daiki Aomine. Its central story establishes Kuroko's selfless, team-oriented approach as a direct challenge to the increasingly individualistic basketball practiced by his former Teiko colleagues.
